About The Center
The Center for Cognition, Emotion & Behavior was founded by Dr. Vyas and focuses on providing high quality and individualized neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. The purpose of such evaluations is to assess the full range of cognitive, emotional and behavioral functioning of individuals. We are dedicated to advancing the field of neuropsychology by conducting innovative research and leveraging existing technologies. We are also committed to other scholarly activities, such as building awareness with other psychologists, doctors, and the community.
Our Objective
The Center evaluates an individual’s cognitive strengths, challenges, and goals to deliver precise, evidence-based care. Neuropsychological evaluations are used to develop research-driven, personalized recommendations that support functioning across settings such as school, work, home, and social environments.
Results are delivered promptly and communicated through a comprehensive report that includes diagnostic impressions and clear treatment guidance. Follow-up consultations and referral resources are available, with optional collaboration among families, educators, and healthcare providers to support effective implementation.
Our Methodology
Our Methodology combines a developmental perspective – assessing brain functioning through various stages of life – with a holistic approach – analyzing cognition (i.e. thoughts), emotion and behavior. This combination provides a more informed understanding of individuals’ specific needs and consequently allows for more specialized and targeted treatment.
Our Promise
To deliver high quality results in a personal and caring environment. Confidentiality, courtesy, and respect are of utmost importance to us.
Our Research
Our research focuses on creating a path towards mental and cognitive health accessibility for children, adolescents & adults. Dr. Vyas has developed a cost-effective and efficient tool, the Vyas Questionnaire (VQ©) that has demonstrated good model validity, item specificity and sensitivity in pilot analysis. The VQ© has the potential to bring greater awareness to patients and physicians, school systems, and community organizations with the potential for greater equity, cost savings, better educational/employment outcomes, suicide/homicide mitigation, and happiness. Please contact our office directly if you would like to learn more about this project.
Advancing Technology
Advancing Technology is a focus of this practice and we have dedicated resources to help advance the field of neuropsychology by leveraging developments in technology.
